UPDATE
Dear MPLSD Parents, Guardians, and Staff,
The point of origin of the aroma that smelled like propane in the 7-12 building has been located, and it is not propane. Rather, it was from a container brought into the school by a student. The purpose of the container appears to be to create an artificial, foul-smelling aroma. The fire department has determined it is safe for students and staff to re-enter the 7-12 building and resume classes. Our students and staff in grades 7-12 will be bussed from the K-6 building back to the 7-12 building and will resume classes shortly.
Again, the source of the aroma has been determined, and it is not propane.
Thank you.
